Aviemore is an ideal all-year-round holiday location. There are holiday activities to suit many interests and hobbies. The centre of Aviemore, with its many facilities, is about a 10 minute walk or a few minutes by car.

There is a wide range of shops, restaurants and bars, doctor and dentist, entertainment, laundry and tourist information. At the Coylumbridge hotel in Rothiemurchus non-residents can make use of the superb Cyril Squirrel’s childrens’ play barn.

There are many golf courses within a short distance including the new Spey Valley Championship Course 150 yards away. Boat of Garten, Grantown-on-Spey, Kingussie and Carrbridge are a short drive away and Nairn, Dornoch, Tain and Castle Stuart are within easy reach.  We now have free use of the 9 hole golf course at Dalfaber Country Club for 2 adults and 2 children (5 minutes walk away)!

Sailing is available on Loch Morlich and Loch Insch.

The area is suitable for walkers of any standard from walks through forest trails to climbing on the Cairngorms.

Aviemore is ideal for cycling. Roads are generally quiet and there is an abundance of off-road tracks and forest trails. Bring your own cycle or hire in Aviemore or Rothiemurchus.
